Phil spends a long time doing nothing. Then one day he picks up his guitar and writes some new songs. And they are good.

Paul and Phil are too lazy to get off their arses and don’t record the planned follow up to Bastard. Eventually Phil does it on his own.
Bastard (1994)
Paul and Phil write eight songs in a week and then record them in two days. Everyone is amazed how good they sound.

Pointy Finger (1988 - ?)
Formed in the autumn of 1988 and still not officially dead, Pointy Finger has been described as “extreme extraneous eclectica with pretentious glimmers of sub artpunk” which is perhaps more flattering than it deserves.
